Life of a kitten in the 24 hours

If you could give your kittens, cats the schedule they want, what would it be? What schedule would make your cat the happiest? Below we will try to answer that question by helping you understand the activity from our kittens, cats how they live, eat, sleep and play! All this information are from our daily live.

In general we can say that they are:

Sleeping : 12 hours
Grooming : 2 hours
Explore and mark new territory : 2 hours
Observe the world around him : 3 hours
Play and chase: 4 hour
Eating and doing his business : 1 hour

   Sleeping  about 12 hours
Sleep is activity that occupies most of cats time.
Cats love to sleep. Cats sleep more than people, but wake much more frequently.
Adult cats can sleep between 12 and 19 hours per day. When you are not at home or when you are absent for long hours outside kittens and cats most of this time are actually spent napping. How much and when they sleep depends on the level of activity from their environment. A cat living as a pet in the home is likely to sleep more than a cat that is outdoors and has to work for their food. Some cats will sleep more due to boredom.

   Grooming for 2 hours daily
If kitty spends so much time to licking every inch of his coat meticulously, it’s first to stay clean and get rid of any parasites. But this ritual also allows them to maintain good health. They thus distributes sebum on his coat and makes it waterproof. In addition, they absorbs vitamin D by licking his skin. This toilet is a kind of meditation for the cat, it has a particularly soothing effect and contributes to mental balance.

Explore and mark new territory for 2 hours
They can spend part of his or her day on the road (somewhere on the house), usually to ensure that his territory is well maintained.
They like to have an elected “kingdom” of which she/he is the master.

Observe the world around him for 3 hours
Your cat spends a lot of time watching what is going on around. Sitting or lying down, his ears up, his eyes wide open and his senses alert, carefully observes all surroundings. For this activity, he usually chooses a place where he feels safe and where he can see without being seen. Watchtowers can satisfy there curiosity.

Play and chaise for 4 hour
Cats no longer needs, like its distant ancestors, to spend long hours in search of food becouse our are indoors cats for 90% of time. There hunting and playing behaviour, remain nevertheless deeply anchored. For cats, these moments of daily relaxation remain essential. You can help your cat be its happiest both mentally and physically by providing plenty of stimulation. This can be in the form of toys, a companion to play with, and/or playtime with you. A laser pointer is a fun way to play with your cat.
Indoor kitties need an interesting environment to stay mentally healthy and happy. An interesting environment includes windows that allow your them to enjoy watching passersby or the sights and sounds of nature, such as birds at a feeder. A window perch is often ideal, as they can watch what is going on outside. An open, screened window  can be very stimulating to cats as well. Opening the screened window in the morning is the perfect time for your cat to enjoy the sounds of the outdoors. Music or TV shows for cats can also be stimulating.

Eating and doing his business for 1 hour
Cat’s are occupy to eat in small part of there time and are distributed throughout the day. In terms of food in particular, the cat is above all a snacker. They will therefore prefer to eat small portions of food on a regular basis, rather than just having two large meals a day.
Cats like to have free access to fresh, clean water at all times. Change the water daily and be sure to wash out the bowl.
They are nibblers and will often eat several small meals. Our favorite way to feed an ideal-weight cat is to leave dry food out, so they can casually nibble.
Cats like opportunities to urinate and defecate in a clean box that feels safe. There should be at least one litter box per cat  in every home. Use a litter that your cat likes and clean the box often.
Cats love to be fussed over and to spend quality time with their owners. This time makes them feel important and loved, just as you would feel when a loved one gives you undivided attention.  Many cats love it if you also do some petting or brushing.
Cats like the comfort of a clean environment. Most kittens and cats are very happy indoors, although some outdoor and indoor-outdoor cats also have a great life. If your cat is an outdoor cat, they should have access to warm shelter in the winter and shade in the summer with constant access to fresh, clean water. Cats also love a soft comfy bed in a high location where they can watch their environment and feel safe.
